The studio is in Sandburg Village. The building is called Alcott House which is on Burton Street facing the plaza on the south side of the building. We are 2 blocks south of North Avenue between Clark Street and LaSalle Street. Near The Chicago Historical Society, Moody Church, and The Latin School, not far from Lincoln Park Zoo.

Drop Off-Students can be dropped-off in front of the building by turning on to Burton from Clark Street or you can park on LaSalle or Clark Streets. There are stairs (or ramp) from the plaza to the street in each of these locations. We require that you escort small children into the studio.

Parking-There is street parking on LaSalle and Clark Streets but pay attention to parking restrictions during rush hour on the Northbound side of the streets. There is a parking garage in the 1455 N. Sandburg building which faces Clark Street and is just a short walk across the plaza to the studio. There is also free one hour parking at Potash Market with $20 store purchase.

CTA -There are a number of CTA routes available within walking distance:

The 135, 136 and 156 LaSalle Street buses - Burton Street Stop.

The 22 Clark Street and 36 Broadway (Clark St.) - Burton Street Stop

The 151 Sheridan Road (Inner Drive) - Burton Street stop.

The 11 Lincoln Avenue, the 73 Armitage Avenue and the 72 North Avenue buses all terminate at Clark St and North Avenue in front of the Chicago Historical Society.

Rapid Transit train options include the Brown Line (Sedgwick Stop) and the Red Line (Clark & Division).
